Remittances
① Send money to other TANG app users
Users can send money to other TANG app users in two directions:
1. From a U.S. user to a Philippines (PH) user and
2. From a PH user to another PH user.
To best illustrate how TANG app’s money sending process works, meet Anna and Bella, the representatives of TANG app’s typical user base. Anna is a Filipino working professional living in the U.S., and she sends money to her sister Bella every month. Bella lives in the PH and relies on Anna’s remittances for her living costs.
When Anna sends money to Bella on TANG app, the pair enjoys advantages over other remittance methods:
1. Cost
Significantly lower fees due to TANG app’s use of blockchain payment rails
2. Convenience
Bella receives Anna’s money directly on her phone, rather than in-person at faraway cash-out locations
3. Time
Faster transaction speed
Look through the screens below to learn about Anna’s experience in sending money and Bella’s experience receiving money. The same process occurs for sending remittances between users in the PH.

Payments: Products & Services
Users can digitally pay for everyday essentials on TANG app by paying with their TANG app wallet balance, their own debit/credit card, or their own bank account. In doing so, TANG app saves users’ time from having to pay for bills and phone load in person with cash.
① Purchase phone load
In the PH, phone load is purchased on-demand on a frequent, regular basis - unlike the typical subscription system used in the U.S. Filipinos will often only buy a few week’s worth of phone load at a time, use up all of the load through texting, gameplay, websurfing, etc., and then purchase more load as needed.
On TANG app, phone load can be purchased instantly for numbers in the PH either by relatives living abroad or by the phone owners themselves in the PH. Load purchases from outside of the PH is supported for 92 countries around the world. When the purchase is made, the recipient receives a confirmation text from their phone provider confirming the load top-up.
To demonstrate TANG app’s phone load purchasing process, meet Anna and Bella, the representatives of TANG app’s typical user base. Anna lives in the U.S. and supports the living costs of Bella, who lives in the PH. The screens below show how Anna can buy load for Bella and how Bella can purchase load for herself.
